Green Peppers
7 or 8 large whole green peppers - in halves - cleaned
Nuke for 5 mins. - may have to do in batches. Can par-boil them but it's easier to nuke.
In a baking pan that is Pam sprayed or oiled lay the pepper havles out close to each other.
2 pounds at least of ground meat can be beef, turkey, chicken, pork or combination
1 package Rice a roni Spanish rice or other rice or 2+ cups partially or cooked rice.
Saute in a frying pan at least one pound ground meat and 1 large onion chopped, 1/2 large green pepper chopped, you can put chopped mushrooms, celery, carrots, whole green peas, corn whatever you have or not but at least put lots of onion and at least 4 cloves chopped garlic. Put some Tony Chacere's Creole Seasoning and at least a tablespoon on Chili powder (more the merrier) and/or taco seasoning. Put the browned mixture in a large bowl.
Add the rice, meat mixture, 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or chicken or celery), about a cup or so of tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce or crushed tomatoes, a dash of soy sauce, salt, pepper, 1 or 2 more pounds raw ground meat. Mix with hands. add some grated cheese into the mixture not a lot but for flavor. Stuff into peppers and all around peppers. Put pan in to bake at 325 for at least an hour more like 1.15 hrs. Top with grated cheese for about 10 mins before removing from oven. You can freeze these and just pop them into the oven or nuke them.
You can also add a can of chili if you want that sort of flavor. You can also add a packet of Lipton onion soup for a different type flavor and omit the tomato or not.
I usually make a lot of these because they do not last in our house.
