Mandarin Orange fruit salad
1 large thing Philadelphia cream cheese
1 large tub sour cream
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon salt
Whipping cream
2 large cans or 3 small cans mandarin orange slices in lite syrup - drained
2 large cans pinapple in juice drain (juice reserved)
3/4 cup pecans chopped (or almonds or macadamia or combo thereof)
1 large bag coconut flaked (can be sweetened or unsweetened)
1 Lg bottle maraschino cherries red-without stems - cut each one in half reserve juice
1 large bag tiny marshmallows
Get the cream cheese at room temperature and work it around with come cream until it is soft add the mayo salt and sour cream - so it is the consistency of a thick dressing
add the marshmallows and the cherries with some cherry juice if you like pink.
Work it around and add: pineapple, coconut nuts
Wait to add the oranges until last because they break up and you have to fold them in carfully.
You can also add a tub of cool whip or in my family we whip some cream with vanilla and sugar and put that on top.
In later life I took to adding thawed frozen or fresh mango chunks and some passion fruit juice is good too.
