Diet Today

Today is the beginning of my diet. I did not go to bed until after 3am last night because I was making muffins for Michel's breakfast: Lemon Poppyseed. They smell great. I am not tempted for some reason.

Have to tell you, dear reader, that I am not enthused. Too much is going on right now and I am wondering if I can stick on this diet because the food looks so unappetizing. At least I am glad I ordered the Diabetic Type II meals rather than the Vegetarian meals. Right now I am so upset because of the results of M's test, I find it hard to concentrate on anything - and now we have to wait 30 more days before he can take another test to assure the first test was not in error.

So, what shall I eat today? The menu thing says I can have my breakfast entree, one diary and one protein....then because I have so much weight to lose I get rewarded with and extra protein. Gee Thanks! I think I will drink a big glass of water while I ponder today's rations.......

10 AM blood sugar reading 140 - I decided to have the
Breakfast
Banana Spice muffin - very good, 1/2 cup yoghurt 1/2 cup raspberries and splenda
two large cups Earl Grey tea with splenda (frozen unsweetened fruit are really great and I can make my own fat free yoghurt)

Lunch: 1 PM Chicken Cacciatore tasted good but small serving. 1 cup papaya with splash of raspberry vinegar - blod sugar 149 right after eating

Ooops I made a mistake and ate a fruit when I shiould have taken a salad and a protein. Oh well, I will have that at dinner.

So far so good and I am not hungry

3 PM - Snack: I fell asleep for a small nap woke up ravenouse: some cottage cheese

5 PM snack herbed crispy things that say "dessert" on them but are not really sweet

8 PM Dinner: Orange beef with noodles, spinach, green beans

Resolve: tomorrow better planning and get more veggies at the grocery.

12:00 AM Lost control and ate a packet of Tom's Tofu with sauce
