Ann's Pretzel rolls
1 pack dry yeast
1 tbs sugar
1 cup warm water
1 tbls butter (soft)
1 tbl salt
Mix in 2.75 to 3 cups all purpose flour. set in covered bowl to rise.
Punch down roll out dough and make some ropes of dough. Either twist like pretzels or make sections for rolls.
On the stove have a pan with 2 cups hot water boiled and then simmering and 3 tbls baking soda. Dip the rolls or pretzels in the simmering solution and remove to a greased baking sheet. Cover tops with coarse salt (Kosher salt is good) bake 375 F for 15 to 20 mins. Very good warm or room temp with dips and mustards.
