Russian Chicken or pork chop casserole
Set oven 325° - 90 minutes
3/4 bottle Wish Bone Russian Dressing 16 oz. (cheap on Amazon)
3/4 of a 12 oz jar of apricot jam preserves Smuckers or whatever - you can use other types of tartish preserves like plum, peach, etc.
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Flour to dredge chicken (optional)
8 chicken breasts or thighs - best if you use boneless skinless
mix dressing, onion soup, paprika, salt, pepper, and preserves just to heat
Optional: dredge chicken pieces in flour , you can brown or not up to you
place a thin layer of your sauce on the bottom of the 9” x 13” pan (glass or metal)
Place the chicken in the pan and spoon the sauce over the chicken pieces. Bake uncovered for an hour and a half
Serve with rice
