***** BEST EVER ****** JO'S CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE

Cream 3 sticks butter.
Add 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese and
3 cups of sugar (I have used half sugar and half Splenda and it was good). Continue to cream mixture.
Add 6 eggs, one at a time.
Sift 2 teaspoons baking powder and 3 cups of flour and a pinch of salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

(Optional add 1 cup pecans or nutmeats - add 1/2 cup cocoa to the flour when sifting and you will have chocolate pound cake)

I usually add pecan meats and it is wonderful. Michel can eat the whole cake.
Flour and grease Bundt pan or Angel food cake pan - pan must have hole in center. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and turn over down to 300 bake for 25 minutes longer. This is one of the best pound cakes I have ever eaten.
