Mother's Pound Cake

1 cup Crisco
1 3/4 cups sugar
cream
5 eggs added one at a time beating in between eggs

Sift 2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

add 1 teaspoon good vanilla

Bake in tube pan at 350F for about 50 minutes
